Busted!

I knew Parker wasn't sleeping during his nap time, because I could hear him in his room making all sorts of noise. Normally that means that he has gotten a couple of cars out of his basket and is playing with them in his bed.

Today seemed noisier than usual though, so I decided to go check on him. This is what I found!

This is what I walked into!
He was reading a book.He was very happy about it!
This is the drawer where I keep all the books that the kids aren't allowed to have without Adam and I. They are the non-board books. Meaning, they are the books that they can rip up!
This is where all the other books were! I mean, I love the fact that he likes to read, but was this really necessary? I guess he dug through them until he found the one he wanted to read.
This is the look I got when I asked him why all of his books were all over the floor! Think he looks a little guilty?!!?
Of course, I couldn't get mad at him for wanting to read, but I did make him clean up his mess! He was told that from now on if he wants a book from the drawer, he has to ask first, and he can pick out one at a time. Do you really think he'll listen?!!? I don't!!

4th Picture

This is a picture tag!!
Here's the deal:

1. Go to the place on your computer where you store all your pictures and open the 4th folder.

2. Open the 4th picture.

3. Post the picture and give an explanation of what it is.

4. Tag 4 people.

DO NOT CHEAT!! You cannot edit or crop the picture!!

Oh, and I may tag more than 4 people - don't know yet!

This is from Brody's 1st birthday party. Brody is Michelle's son, my best friend from highschool. I remember that the kids had so much fun that day! Forbes had all the toys out and Parker played his little heart out! Peyton was shy at first, which is why Adam is holding her, but she ended up warming up and played with Parker. She looked so precious this day!

It was a great day! Michelle and I got to hang out and catch up after most of the party crowd left. It was great, because it is very rare that we get to do that. Brody had a great first birthday and was so precious on his special day! He had a blast making a mess in his cake! I'm only supposed to post one picture for this tag, but I'm going to go ahead and post a pic of Brody since it was his party, and because he's so darn cute!

Oh, and here's one of Forbes and Brody!

I am tagging:

Andrea

Melody

Michelle

Amber

Czarina

Shauna

Jenny

Kippy

Emily

Ashley

Natalie

I know it's way more than 4 people, but I think this is a cute tag!! I hope y'all have fun and participate!!

Christmas Artwork

Of course, since it's December, and Christmas is quickly approaching, Parker has done a lot of Christmas artwork at school. I love it all! Here's a few of his masterpieces!

Here's Rudolph, made from his hand prints!
This is the little poem that came with Rudolph. I think it is SO sweet!Christmas tree
Gingerbread man with Parker's face. The pic of him is hilarious!
Stocking
Christmas tree ornament - I hope it lasts FOREVER!

Little Lady

Aunt May started Bitty on an obsession with lipstick! She used to give Parker and Peyton her empty Carmex tubes to play with and pretend like they were putting it all over their mouths.

Well, it wasn't long before Peyton wanted the REAL thing! So, anytime Aunt May or Granna were putting on their Carmex, they would let her put on a little as well.

Now it has just turned into an obsession! That girl LOVES her some lipstick!

Putting on Granna's lipstickSo proud! Look at her legs crossed like a little lady!
Better put some more on!
CHEESE!!

Robot and Ruby Reds

Last Saturday, Parker kept asking over and over where his robot was. We didn't have a clue where it was, because he didn't HAVE one!! Well, being the normal grandparents that they are, Granna and Grumps decided that he needed one.

After Parker went to bed on Saturday night, Mom, Aunt May, and I headed to Wal-Mart in search for a robot. Well, we found a character that looked somewhat like a robot, but not exactly. Mom went ahead and bought it just in case we weren't able to find another one.

Mom was tired, so we dropped her off at home, and Aunt May and I headed to Target. We found the PERFECT robot! We also found some play shoes for Bitty that looked like ruby, red slippers!

On Sunday, when Parker and Peyton returned home from church with Aunt May, we had the new toys waiting for them in the garage. You would have thought it was Christmas morning by Parker's reaction! His exact words were, "It's my BEST ROBOT!" Peyton was also very excited about her new shoes, although she wanted to play with the robot too! She's definitely still my "Brut in a dress!"
Here's Parker with his BEST ROBOT!Here's Miss Priss in her new shoes!

Little Mama

Peyton has been playing pretend for a long while now, but just recently, she's been doing a lot more with her baby. Baby has to go EVERYWHERE with us, and Bitty is her little mama!

She even tried potty training Baby at my parent's house a couple of weeks ago. She cracks us up!

Here she is taking Baby to potty!Giving her kisses
Now she's pretending to go - that is her grunt face!
So precious!
Now she has to put a new diaper on Baby - who looks to be suffocating!
I think it's a little big!
What Mom?!!?
That's A&D ointment in her hand - she had to put it on Baby's bobo!
Silly girl - she is so proud of herself!!

Waxahachie Christmas Parade

As I mentioned in a post from last week, we attended the Waxahachie Christmas parade. We met up with my best friend from highschool, Forbes, her son, Brody, her Mom, and step-sister to enjoy the festivities!

The parade was very short, but the kids got more loot than I knew what to do with. We were shoving it in every pocket, and still running out of room. The kids got tons of candy, stuffed animals, and even stockings crammed full of fun goodies!

Here's some pics from the parade. I wasn't able to get many because I was keeping control of Parker and holding handfuls of candy!

Cutie pies!...even though they wouldn't look at the camera!
My handsome man!

Up her nose!!

I normally do all my posts in order of when things happened and when I took the pictures, but this post could NOT wait until I did the others!

On Thursday, Peyton gave me a mini-stroke on the way to Waxahachie! We were driving along, getting ready to take the exit to go see my Mom at work, when Peyton started screaming bloody murder! I look back at her and notice that she is pointing to her nose. I immediately assume that she has a booger up her nose, which she HATES, so it has ticked her off.

When we pull into the parking lot of Mom's work, she is still screaming, so I immediately go to the back seat with a tissue, thinking I'm going to rescue her from a big, green thing. Well, when I wiped her nose, there was nothing there!!

I looked down in her lap and notice her play cell phone. It is missing a LOT of the buttons! Mother's instinct told me immediately what had happened. I look up her nose, and sure enough, I can barely see a little bit of white WAY up there!

I placed an emergency phone call to my Mom to get out to the parking lot, and then I called Adam. I am PANICKED at this point! Adam is telling me to try to get it out, but I am terrified that all I am going to do is push it up there further. Well, Mom came outside and helped me hold her down. I got my tweezers, and thank God, I was able to get it out!

Peyton was instantly relieved, and so was I!! I don't really know why it scared me so badly, but it did! It took me a while to calm down from that one!

One thing is for sure though - Peyton will NEVER play with another toy from China that has tiny, removable pieces!! Never in a million years would I have thought that she would stick something up her nose. I guess she thought that since her fingers fit up there so nicely, that other things would too! I don't think she'll do it again though - at least I pray she won't!!

Here's a pic of the button that was up her nose. I put it next to a nickel, so you could compare the size. She has very tiny nostrils, so I'm still amazed that this fit up there! Here's the phone! Do you notice all the missing buttons?!!?
Oh, and the pictures are crappy - sorry! They were taken from my cell phone.

Playtime

Yesterday was not a fun day for me! I had some sort of stomach bug...yucky!! Last night though, I did try to do a post, but Blogger was acting up. It wouldn't allow me to upload pictures. It seems to be acting better this morning, so here's a new post!

On Friday, after Santa pics, we let the kids go play at the playground. They love it there! Y'all know I can't go anywhere without taking tons of pictures; here's a few of my favorites!

Bitty PrincessShe was laughing at me...I was trying to tickle her!
Claire's pout face...I'm not quite sure why she was upset.
Precious!
Claire and Parker having fun!
No clue what they're looking at...but of course it wasn't the camera!
My girls! They were hilarious at one point, fighting over the center of the grapefruit!
Annie and Granna. Aren't they cute in their Christmas tees?
Carter had fun playing too!
He looks so serious!
He was doing flips over the salt and pepper packets.
Claire was crawling through them.
My two loves!!
I just loved his eyes in this pic!
Playing together without fighting...it's so rare!
SO stinkin' adorable!
Another pouty face! I swear she really did have fun!
They look so big!
Granna had several quarters, so they were able to ride some rides too!
The car would only seat 2, so Claire rode the choo-choo!
Peyton thinks this is SO cool!
Berry LOVED the train!
Parker was the driver of the fire truck!
Claire was the controller!
Bitty was just along for the ride!
They had a blast!

I have a few more posts to do. I will try to get them done today. No promises though!!
