Parker's 4th Birthday Carnival

You all know how much I love pictures, so I'm just warning you that this post has a LOT of them!! I wish I would have gotten more of them so I had one of everyone, but I was too busy running around to take hundreds of pictures.

The party was a BLAST! The kids had the best time playing in the bounce house and running around acting crazy. I was so happy to see them all having such a great time! The adults were having fun too, so I think it was an overall success!

Along with the bounce house, we ordered a cotton candy machine, and it was a hit! I think we ended up going through almost all of the sugar and it's enough for 50 cones. That's a LOT of cotton candy! We had hot dogs, nachos, cupcakes, peanuts, pickles, circus peanuts, confetti popcorn, and all the fixings that go along with all of that. There was a good amount of food and by the time we ended up cleaning that evening, almost all of it was gone! That's a good thing, because I didn't want a bunch of stuff leftover.

I also had a ton of bubbles for the kids and they enjoyed getting the adults to blow bubbles so they could chase them. My MIL did face painting for the kids who wanted it and they all looked so cute running around with smeared make-up all over their faces! Parker wanted it done, but didn't like it once it was on his face, so he tried to rub it off with the sponge. His make-up looked hilarious!

We had 10 kids in attendance and 30-40 adults, so it was a great turn-out. Unfortunately several of our friends weren't able to come for different reasons, and they were missed, but I wanted to say "Thank You" to all of those that were able to come!! I know Parker had the BEST time and I hope it's a day he will always remember! I know I will!

Pre-party Pictures

I took a few pictures before the party started on Saturday, so I thought I would share them first. Mom and Aunt May were already here from Friday night, and my Dad and Uncle Chuck came early on Saturday to hang out before the crowd showed up. I'm glad they were all here to help me finish with all the last minute party preparations!

There are a lot of things that I wanted to post pictures of, but completely forgot to take the pictures. I made the cutest birthday banner that hung in the living room and the cupcakes turned out adorable, but there aren't any pictures to show you...poop!!

Anyway, here's a few pictures from the pre-party.

The tables set up on the deck - those are the little banners that I made to go with the big banner.

Big Boy Bike

Aunt May came on Friday when she got off from work and had Parker's presents all ready to go for the party. We decided to go ahead and give Parker one of his gifts before the party so he could enjoy it for a while! Aunt May bought him a big boy bike and all the pads to go with it. He already had a helmet from Christmas.

He was SO excited about his new bicycle!! He wanted to ride for hours! He looked absolutely adorable in all his gear and looked like such a big boy on his new bike! Thanks May May!!

Waiting to open the trunk!Look what's inside!!
Got all his pad on!
Woo Hoo!!! Look how proud he was!
Bitty wanted pictures too on her bike!
There he goes! Doesn't he look like a big boy?!?!

I was so proud of how well he did on the bike! It was like he had been riding one for years. The breaks were a little problem for him at first, but he caught on within a couple of minutes! I can't believe how fast he's growing up!

My New Hair

I have a ton of pictures to post from this weekend, but I thought I would do this first. Michelle has been on my case since last week about posting pics of my new haircut. After I got it cut last week, Aunt May took some pics so I could post them, but I have been putting it off because I hate pictures of myself. I figured I would go ahead and put them up because I didn't get a single picture of myself at the party on Saturday. Plus, yesterday was my birthday, so I guess it's okay to put up pictures of just me!

So, here it is Michelle! I hope you like it!Parker wanted to take pictures with me too!
A pic I took of myself
Bitty wanted pictures too!
This was hard to do...they are heavy!
The back!
My precious "P"s being silly!
I hope you all had an awesome weekend! I will post pics of the party and this weekend later on today.

Happy Birthday Peanut!!!

I can't believe Parker is already 4 years old!!! The time has flown by so fast. It seems like he should be 2 years old at the most!

Parker has done so much this year and has grown into a big boy so quickly!! He has learned SO much the past year and I like to think he is VERY smart for his age! He can recognize all of his letters and numbers. He knows all the sounds of the letters and can tell you what letter a lot of words start with. He can write several letters on his own and can spell his name. I could go on and on about all the things he knows! Can you tell I am a proud mama?!?!

One of his favorite things to do is play learning games on the computer. He plays games that are for 4-6 year olds and has mastered them! I can't believe how computer literate he is at such a young age. He knows how to log on to his page on the computer, click on the blue "e", and select his games! I tell people all the time that I think he can use it better than his grandma's can!

Peanut is ALL boy!! Of course, he LOVES to play outside and likes every sport. His favorite thing to do outside though is help his Daddy! Any project that Adam is working on, Parker has to be right there helping. It is SO cute to watch! He is the tool handler, so he has learned the names of almost all the tools, and Adam has pretty much every tool imaginable!

Parker's birthday party is this Saturday. It is a circus/carnival theme and I think he is going to LOVE it!! I can't wait! I have made a 4 year old video of him, but I'm not going to post it on the blog until after everyone at the party has seen it. So, make sure you visit the blog on Sunday! I will put up pictures from the party and post the video. I am really happy with the way it turned out!

I hope you all are having a great week! We are!! Granna is on vacation this week, and is spending it with us, so we are staying pretty busy and having lots of fun! Hopefully I'll get some posts up before this weekend, but I'm not making any promises!

Parker Wayne -

I CANNOT believe you are already 4 years old! Just thinking about it makes me tear up. You are my little Peanut and are supposed to stay my baby forever. I forbid you from getting any older than 5!!

I thank God every day for you and I am so happy that He picked me and Daddy to be your parents. I could not have asked Him for a better son! Don't get me wrong, you have your "terrible 3's" moments, but I would not trade them for anything!! I am SO proud to be your Mommy!

You have grown into such a little man this year. You are so smart and loving!! I love that at any moment I can ask you for a hug or kiss and you will stop whatever you are doing to come and let me love on you. I am dreading the day when you think you are too old to do that anymore! You have also started calling me "Mom" this year instead of "Mama". I love it when I tell you I love you 85 times a day, and you respond with, "I love you too, Mom!" You sound so grown up!!

I am also amazed by how well your vocabulary has progressed in the last year! I can't believe I can have full, grown-up conversations with you. I also LOVE the stories you tell! You have the wildest imagination and come up with the most outlandish stories. Daddy and I don't comprehend half of your stories, but we still love to hear them! You crack us up!

You are a great big brother! Well, 85% of the time. You still fight with Peyton quite a bit, but you love her SO much! The main reason you fight with her is because she can't understand everything you try to tell her to do, but you really want her to, and get frustrated. She adores you though, and follows you around like a little puppy, wanting to do everything you do! Most of the time you let her and help her do the things she hasn't quite mastered. I love it that you can do whatever you want to her, but if anyone else disciplines her, or tells her no, you get very mad! You are a very protective big brother and I hope it stays that way forever!

I just love you SO much!! I could go on and on for days about all the things that I treasure about you! I love watching you grow into a little man and I am so proud to call you my son! Don't forget though - you can only grow for 1 more year!

Love,
Mom
