Charleigh's Baptism

This past Saturday we attended Charleigh's Baptism. She is Joe and Stacy's baby girl! Charleigh looked beautiful in her Christening gown. I loved how precious her chubby cheeks looked in her bonnet!

It was a very special moment to be a part of. Charleigh did amazingly well. I was so surprised that she didn't get upset when they poured the Holy water over her head, but she didn't make a peep!

After the Baptism, Joe and Stacy had a reception at their house. We all headed over there for some yummy food and the kids played until they were exhausted. Charleigh got LOTS of awesome gifts! Much thanks to Joe and Stacy for inviting us to be a part of Charleigh's special day and having us over to their house for my kids to make a huge mess! We love y'all!

Scott (Godfather and Stacy's brother), Joe, Charleigh, Stacy, and Erin (Godmother and Joe's sister)

Charleigh Ray - didn't she look adorable in her bonnet?!?! SO precious!! Here's Parker at the Baptism - I'm not quite sure who he's laughing at! This is what Bitty did the whole time. She didn't nap all day and fell asleep in the car on the way there, so she was pretty grumpy! Playing in Joe and Stacy's driveway Joe brought out Charleigh's stroller and Peyton pushed around her babies! Parker loved playing soccer!
I wish I would have gotten more pictures of Charleigh! Once we got to their house, it was pretty chaotic trying to keep control of the kids with all the people there, so I pretty much forgot about my camera. I hate it when that happens!

St. Patty's Day with Nona

We spent St. Patrick's Day with Nona. We had to run some errands and after the kids were good and bored, I decided we could take them to the pet store for a bit. They both turned out like me and LOVE animals!

They were pretty sad about leaving the pet store, but got over it pretty quickly when we told them we were headed to the park. We ran by the dollar store for a loaf of bread to feed the ducks. After we fed the ducks an entire loaf, we headed to the playground. Peyton spent the ENTIRE time in the swing and Parker ran around like crazy to play on every toy! They had a blast! Well, until we told Peyton she had to get out of the swing. Talk about a meltdown!! Whew!

It was a great day for everyone!! I hope everyone wore their green so they didn't get pinched!

Here's Parker hanging out by the Hermit Crab case. He loved watching them walk around! This picture turned out pretty blurry, so I made it black and white. For some reason, it made it easier to see.
I think he could have watched them for hours!
Bitty thought they were pretty neat too, but she was more interested in the animals that she could touch. My camera ran out of batteries after these 3 pictures. I wasn't able to get pictures of all the animals we were able to hold and pet; hamsters, ferrets, bunnies, gerbils, birds, and a HUGE snake! It was a great experience for the kids. I loved seeing their faces when they got to pet something new!

I charged my camera in the car on the way to the park, so I was able to get several pictures before the battery died again.

Peyton swinging - imagine that!
My handsome Peanut!
This thing was hilarious!!! You sat in the seat and it started spinning uncontrollably. After we saw Parker ride it, Nona and I had to have a turn too!
This is a picture of when I first got on it. I am pretty calm at this point.
Then it started spinning SUPER fast and I couldn't get it to stop! I was yelling for Robbin to help me off, but all she did was laugh hysterically and take pictures! That face is a mixture of laughter and terror!
We tried to get some group pictures, but you all know how easy that can be with litle ones! Here's the best one of Nona with the kids.
Here's the best one of me with the kids

New 4-Wheeler

My Dad broke down and got a new 4-wheeler. His other one wasn't a 2 seater and he didn't feel comfortable taking the kids on rides. So, he traded it in and got an awesome 2 seater. I love it!! I can't wait to be able to take it out!

The kids loved it too! Parker noticed immediately that it was different and couldn't wait to get on and "drive" it! Peyton wanted to ride it too. My dad was a nervous wreck with her on it, so he sat behind her the entire time with his hands out. It was pretty cute! He is VERY protective of his babies!

I wasn't able to get any pics of Parker on the 4-wheeler, but I got several of Peyton and Grumps.
I love the smile on my dad's face - he is so proud of his grandbabies!

I love her eyes in this pic!

Yea!!!
She was SO excited to be up there!
Thought she was such a big girl!

Happy Birthday Ramos

A couple of weekends ago, a few of our friends all got together to celebrate Ramos' 32nd birthday at The Tavern. It is our normal hangout with our friends whenever we are able to get out of the house. Another Duncanvilleite (don't really think that's a word, but you get my point) owns it and we love it there!

There weren't a lot of people that were able to come because of all the kiddos, but we still ended up having a great time!!

Happy Birthday Neal! We LOVE you!
Adam and Ramos

I told you my hubby and his friends were crazy!! See what I mean?!?! The guys - how come only 2 of them are looking at the camera?!?! Adam, Ramos, and Smith - bet you didn't know my husband was in a gang!! Me and Cristal - Ramos' girlfriend! Me and Andrea - Smith's Fiance!

Playtime

The kids and I went to lunch with my parents a couple of weeks ago in Cedar Hill. They have a new shopping center that is really nice! After we ate lunch, we went walking around, and found a playground. Well, of course, the kids HAD to play! They had a blast climbing on everything and Peyton made every single piece into a slide. I had to hold her hand and slide her down! They ran and ran and were pretty upset with me when I told them we had to leave. What's new?!?! Mama's always the bad guy!

Sliding! Wheee!

Climbing away!

"Look at me Mama!!"
"Cheese!"

Kite Fun with Grumps

A couple of weeks ago, Parker found his kite on my parent's back porch and got SO excited!! He convinced his Grumps to take him across the street, to an empty field, and help him fly it. Of course, Bitty wanted to go too, so we all headed over. It was EXTREMELY windy, which is normally a good thing for kite flying, but it was really too windy to get it to stay up very long. Although we did get it to stay up several times, Parker was pretty disappointed that it wouldn't stay in the air for more than a minute or so. Now that the weather is nice, I'm sure we'll try again soon!

Grumps and his babies

I hope my Dad doesn't kill me for posting pics of him in his "pretty" clothes! Parker got to hold the handle for a bit! He was so proud!! YEA!!!
I hope you are all having a great week!

New Kitchen

The last week or so has been spent redoing my kitchen! We have been in our house over 6 years, and it hasn't been updated since the day we moved in. We had never painted either, so you can only imagine how bad the "white" walls looked! We were almost to the point that we were embarassed by how bad it was looking. So, now not only did we paint, but I got some new decorations, hung a curtain, and my MIL has promised me a couple of paintings to finish it off! Once the paintings are hung, my new kitchen will be complete!!

This is one of the plates that is hanging in a plate rack over the doorway. It's from my Mama! Do you think she likes my cooking?!!?
Here's the view of the doorway. That's the trio of plates above the door. The thing to the left is a little chalkboard.

These are my canisters. I got them when we got married and they go perfectly with the new decor!

I love my new "Kitchen" sign! It hangs over the doorway going into the kitchen from my laundry room.
This is what is on top of one side of the cabinets.
This is what is on top of the other side of the cabinets and on top of the refrigerator. My favorite is the big pear that I found at Hobby Lobby!
This is my new centerpiece for my kitchen table.
Here is the complete nook, minus the two pictures from my MIL. They are going to go on either side of the trio picture. Excuse the wrinkles in the curtain. I was too excited to take pictures and I hadn't taken it down to iron yet. I love my red wall!!

I hope you all like my new kitchen!! It's so exciting to have it complete and to have something that I'm proud for people to see!
I hope you all had a great weekend! I have several posts coming this week, so stay tuned!

Blast from the past - #5

These pictures were taken in May 2007, so Peyton was almost 5 months old. Grandpa and Nanny had come over for the afternoon, and once again, Suellyn snapped a few really cute pictures!
Here's Bitty! Now do you all see where she got her nickname from?!?! She's always been very small and I think I started calling her "Itty Bitty" when she was only a couple of weeks old, which eventually I shortened to just "Bitty". I love this picture because it shows her personality as a baby perfectly. She was the happiest, smiliest baby I had ever seen. It took practically nothing to get her to smile, so it was very easy to get pictures like this!
Here she is hanging out with her Grandpa!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing all the old pictures! Let me know if you liked it, because I have a TON of old pictures, and I could do another series next month if you'd like!

I hope you all have a great weekend!! Love you all!
