Helping Out!

We had a very busy weekend! On Friday, Aunt May came to stay for the weekend to watch the kids on Saturday morning. Thanks Aunt May! Friday night we didn't do much other than go to Wal-Mart, because Adam and I had to be up at 6:00 on Saturday morning.

Adam and I volunteered, along with about 100 other people, to help clean-up an old part of Dallas. The area is called Joppa Freedman, off of 45 and Loop 12. It is an old area of Dallas, that has been pretty neglected. We were able to help a lot of elderly people, by cleaning up their yards, removing debree, and raking A LOT of leaves!!!

It was so bittersweet! I was so humbled to be able to be a part of something that was so special to these people! It definitely made Adam and I feel very blessed for what we have! I am hoping that this event is going to be annual, so that we are able to go back next year and help again!

This is the banner that was set-up in the park.
Here is Adam with his 2 BFF's from work. Do guy's have BFF's? Anyway, this is Jim, Adam, and Shaun.

This is where we all met before and after our work. It is a park in the center of their community.

These are just a few of the many bags of leaves that were raked up from the park!
Thanks to Neiman Marcus and The City of Dallas for putting together such an amazing gift for these special people! It was such a great event to be a part of!!
