Day at the Zoo

We had such a great time at the Ft. Worth Zoo today!! The kids and I met up with Alli, Chloe, Andrea, Claire, and Carter for a fun filled day. We were there for over 5 hours and all the kids were SO well behaved! I was a little nervous that they would start acting up around nap time, but there was never a problem.

All of the animals that we attempted to see were out and about and close to the windows! It is so rare to get to see all the animals up close and for all of them to be out in their habitats when you walk by.

It was half price day at the zoo today, so we were a little concerned that it was going to be a mad house. Although there were a lot of people there, it wasn't too crowded, so we were able to let the kids get right up to the rails for almost every exhibit!

All of the kids had a favorite animal of the day; Peyton loved the rhinos the best, Parker's favorites were the monkeys, Claire couldn't stop talking about the chickens from the petting zoo, and Chloe loved the penguins and the giant fish tank! It was such a great experience to see their little faces light up when they saw a new animal!
