I can't believe this is already my 75th post! Wow!
This morning the kids had fun with chalk and even helped Daddy change the oil in his car! I don't think Adam enjoyed it nearly as much as the kids did!

Lucky eats Gold!
You know your dog is truly fat when you dole out over $100 on food for her for a MONTH!
Let me explain.
One morning last week when I took Lucky out to potty, she was urinating blood. Not good! I got her in to see the Vet that afternoon. They got a sample from her and could tell immediately that it was a bladder infection. They took blood from her to test for the bladder infection and for anything else that she might have. The total bill ended up being almost $300 and I came home with a 14 day supply of antibiotics.
A few days later her Vet calls. Not good news!! Not only does she have a severe bladder infection and pancreatitis, but she is also severely overweight, which is caused from hypothyroidism.
Adam went today after work to pick up all of her new medication and her new food. That was another $200. She is now taking 3 medications; the antibiotic, an anti-inflammatory, and thyroid medication. She is also on a special prescription diet food, which must be made of gold, because of how expensive it is, that she has to eat for 30 days.
She goes back to see the Vet when all of the gold is gone. They will do more blood work and check her weight. If Lucky has lost weight and her blood work is clear of infection, she can return to eating normal food, although it will be "weight management" food! She will most likely remain on the thyroid medication the rest of her life.
I really hope that everything works out, because there is NO way we can afford to spend $100 a month on her food. I love my Fatty to death, but we can't continue to feed her gold! Me and my family eating is much more important! Don't you think?!?!

Prayer Please!
Cassidy found out that she is going to have another procedure done. As I wrote in a previous post, Cassidy was diagnosed with Cervical Dysplasia. On August 19th they went in and did a biopsy of the cells on her cervix. She was informed yesterday that the findings were not what they wanted to see. They didn't give her a very good explanation of what that means; the nurse she spoke with was a little unprofessional, to say the least.
She goes on September 9th for her pre-op work and maybe she will be able to find out more then. Her surgery is on September 11th. It is called a LEEP procedure. The surgery itself will only take about 20 minutes, but she will have to undergo full anesthesia. If the surgery is successful, it will have removed all of her precancerous cells. That's what we're hoping for!! She will have to follow-up with the doctor every 3-6 months for a few years, but that's all worth it, if it means her body is clear of all the cells.
Please pray for Cassidy that she will have great results with this surgery. Please pray that her nerves won't get the best of her in the upcoming weeks. Please pray that once this surgery is complete, her body will be rid of the cells forever.
Thank you and love you all!

Hopefully the last one...
I've got another update on my stomach. I went today for the egg eating test and it came back normal. The nurse called today and left a message with more results from the Colonoscopy and Endoscopy. I couldn't really understand her and they were already closed by the time I got the message. I have two forms of reflux, but I have no idea which kinds. They are going to prescribe me another medication; now I'll have 5...ridiculous!
They still don't have the biopsy results. I am hoping they will have them on Tuesday. I guess I'll just have to wait as usual. Hopefully this will be the last update, because hopefully the biopsy comes back normal! I'll let y'all know.

Meet the Teacher
Last night was Parker's meet-the-teacher at his new school! He LOVED it! He didn't want to leave when it was time; I am hoping it remains that way! His teachers seemed very nice and I've already signed up to help throw the Fall party. My mom was always PTA room mother and I have a feeling I'll follow in her footsteps. I love to do fun things like that!
His room theme was Noah's Ark, so there were animals everywhere. Parker is going to love that! He got to see where his seat and cubby hole are, and where he will hang his backpack everyday. The only thing he wasn't totally cooperative about was having his picture taken by the strange ladies. She gave the camera to me and we were able to get a picture. I think they are going to be on the wall the first day of school.
One of my biggest concerns was whether or not they were going to have a carpool line; and they will after the 2nd week of school! The reason for my concern is Bitty! When we go inside to drop off her idol, she is not going to want to leave him. She wants to do EVERYTHING he does! I just know those first couple of weeks, when we have to go inside with him, that she is going to throw a fit because she doesn't get to stay.
Over all I am feeling really good about all of this. I think it is going to be a great learning experience for Parker; both socially and mentally. I didn't think I would be sad about it, but after last night, and after thinking about it a lot today...I think the first day might hit me a little harder than I thought it would. My Peanut is growing up!!!

The Lash Outs
This past Saturday night I had the opportunity to go see The Lash Outs! I hadn't been to a show in a LONG time. I had been absolutely stir crazy; other than trips to Wal-Mart and Target, I hadn't left the house in a week.
Aunt May watched the kiddos...thanks Aunt May! It ended up being an early night; we were home by 11:00, maybe 10:30. The guys put on a really good show and I am glad that I decided to go!
Joey - Lead Vocals and Guitar
Adam - Back-up Vocals and Bass
Brian (Holby) - Guitar
Dustin - Drums

By the way, for those of you that don't know, The Lash Outs is my husband's band. He's the hot one up there!
A Few Answers
Although yesterday was a pretty crappy day, I was able to get a few answers. I have gastritis, which is bleeding and inflammation of the stomach lining. They also found some spots on my colon; they removed them for biopsy. I won't get the biopsy results back until sometime next week. Hopefully it's nothing!
I also have to go for another test this week. I am not sure exactly what the test entails. It is called a gastric emptying test and I have to eat eggs that are covered in radioactive material. It is supposed to show how my stomach empties food.
The doctor gave me lots of nasty pictures of my insides, along with prescriptions for 4 medications. Wow! I sent all of my girlfriends a picture of the medications, and Cassidy told me I was officially an old woman. I may need to start carrying an extra purse just for my pill bottles!

Drinking the Devil
I have to go tomorrow for an Endoscopy and a Colonoscopy. Today, for my prep, I had to take two pills and I have to drink a gallon of the nastiest stuff on the planet. I swear it is like drinking the devil!
I have to drink it 8 oz. at a time, every 20-30 minutes. I think it will take me all night long. To top it off, I can't eat ANYTHING! The procedure isn't until noon tomorrow and I can't have anything to eat until sometime tomorrow afternoon.
Also, to make matters even worse, I can't have my morning Diet Coke! I can't have anything to drink after midnight tonight. How do they expect me to function until tomorrow afternoon without a diet coke?
I guess the only good thing about all of this is that maybe I will FINALLY get an answer as to what is going on inside my body. Also, this has been the best diet ever! I have lost 9 pounds in 15 days.
Sorry y'all had to listen to me gripe. I just had to get that off my chest!
Hope you all had a great weekend! Maybe I will have some good news to report on Tuesday. Even if the answer isn't good, it will still be good news, because it will be an answer!

Backpack
Since Parker starts school soon, we went today to let him pick out a backpack. I had already gone to Wal-Mart and didn't really like their selection, so we went to Target. Target had an awesome selection. I picked out about 6 of them for Parker to choose from. Most of them had characters on them, like Spider Man and Cars, because I thought that was what he would want. Oh, no! Parker goes and picks out his own. He chooses a black and white camoflauge backpack that was $30! The ones I was picking out were $10 and $15.
I tried to sway him from the $30 backpack because there was no way I was spending that much! All it is going to hold is a change of clothes, his lunch box, and a folder. There was no convincing him to get one of the others. Finally my mom suggested to him that we go to another store to see if there was one that fit him better. Somehow, that worked! So, we headed to Wal-Mart.
This time, I didn't make the mistake of letting him get out of the buggy. I picked out two $10 backpacks and let him choose which one he wanted. I think a selection of 6 was just too many for him to decide upon.
Well, he picks it out, puts it on, and we start walking away. Peyton starts throwing a fit and screaming, "Backpack, backpack, backpack", at the top of her lungs! I had no idea she even knew how to say the word. So, we headed over to the little girl section of the store and I found ONE little bitty Dora backpack. She doesn't even know or care who Dora is, but it was the only one they had. It is actually pretty cute!
My mom said that she would buy Peyton's, since I had to buy Parker's. Can we say spoiled?!!? Of course I had to take pictures. I'm sure the people in Wal-Mart thought I was crazy. So, here are some pics of our backpack adventure today.

Happy Birthday Landon!
Tomorrow is Landon's actual 2nd birthday, but Chris and Ashley celebrated it on Sunday, with a party at Little Gym. Adam took Parker, while Peyton and I stayed at home. I really wish I would have felt well enough to go join in on the fun!
Andrea sent me some pictures from the fun day! It looks like Adam was kept pretty busy. I'm so glad Parker got to go. It looks like all the kids had a blast!

Singin' in the Rain
There wasn't actually any singing, but there was a LOT of playing! We had a very rare and MUCH needed rain today. Parker decided he wanted to go play in the rain, so of course that meant Peyton wanted to too. They had an absolute blast!
