Big Brother 10 and TEXAS

My MOST FAVORITE show, Big Brother, is starting it's 10th season tomorrow! I am so excited! Of course, I have already read up on all the new houseguests, and I think it should be a pretty interesting season. The houseguests' ages range from 22 to 75, and it seems that they are all going to clash with their religious and political views. I am SO looking forward to a drama filled season. After all, isn't that why we watch the show?!?!?

For those of you that are not already BB fans, I am asking you to at least give it a try and watch the first week's epsiodes, and I promise you will be hooked! It is on 3 times a week; Sunday at 7pm C, Tuesday at 8pm C, and Wednesday at 7pm C.

It is the only reality show that is truly reality. The 13 houseguests are stuck in a house for 3 months, while being recorded 24/7 from every angle in the house. Every week one person is voted out by the houseguests, and the final houseguest wins half a million dollars! I have been trying to convince Adam to try and get on the show, but I don't think he's that interested.

Keep in mind before you read this next part, that I have NOTHING against people that are gay or a cowboy. I actually have several friends that fall into both of these categories, and I love them all!

Anyway, there is a contestant on BB10, from Texas, that is a gay cowboy. I am only mentioning this for the connection between Texas and Cowboys. I mean really????...was he the only person from Texas that applied for the show, or did they try to get the MOST country person they could find? Have y'all EVER watched a show on television that didn't portray the people from Texas to be bow-legged, cowboy hat wearin', horse ridin' hicks? Not to mention that most are portrayed as absolute white trash!

Just once I would like someone from Texas to be portrayed as urban, chic, and classy. For those of you that may have never been to Texas; we don't all ride horses, have missing front teeth, have cows and chickens in our front yards, and talk like a hick!

Sorry for the venting. I just had to get that out! Check out BB tomorrow and let me know what you think! I promise I won't make this a blog about BB while it's on, but I can't promise that it won't be talked about from time to time!

Love you all
Heather

Hi heather. I got your link from Rocks in my Dryer. I saw you were from North Texas so I had to check out your blog. I too live in North Texas so we are practically neighbors! :)

I so agree with you on the Texan stereotyping. I am not at all like the stereotype, or at least I don't think I am. :)

I'll be back to check out more of your blog.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

I also found you at Rocks in My Dryer. You said Dallas and you got my attention. I live East of Dallas. I most certainly don't fit the stereotype either. And if you heard me talk, you would say I was lying about being a native Texan. Nobody ever believes me.
