Peanut's Growing Up!

Unfortunately I don't get to meet with the surgeon for my HIDA scan until Thursday morning. I have to fast from Wednesday night at midnight until the scan, so it is scheduled for the crack of dawn. That means no morning "D to the C" (Diet Coke) for me. For all of you coffee drinkers out there, imagine a morning with no coffee. That is a morning with no DC for me! Not a good thing.

I am hoping I will have a final answer regarding surgery on Thursday. I guess I will have to wait and see. I will let you all know as soon as I know.

The past few days have been very low key. Aunt May has been here to help me with the kids. She has been a God send! It has been very difficult for me to do certain things with the kids because of the pain, so she has helped me out tremendously! Thanks Aunt May! Aunt May goes back to work on Thursday and will surely be missed. My Mom starts her long awaited vacation on Thursday and is coming to take over for Aunt May. I am so lucky to have them in my life to help take care of me and my babies! Adam was unable to take any time off of work, so I was very blessed that their schedules were able to accommodate my circumstances.

ENOUGH ABOUT ME....LET'S GET TO THE GOOD NEWS!!!

Parker is going to start preschool on September 3! Adam and I are so excited! Parker is too! He will only be going 2 days a week for half days because that is all we can afford. I figure that is a good starting point anyway. We'll see how it goes this year, and hopefully if we are financially able, he can attend the 4 day class next year.

I am so excited that he will get to play with other kids! Parker gets so excited when we go to the playground because he gets to play with other kids. He is so sad when we leave; he begs me to be able to stay and play with his "friends". It absolutely breaks my heart every time!

I talked with the director today about his eating and potty training. She said that she is almost certain it will help with his pickiness towards food. Once they see other kids eating a variety of different foods, they will want to try them as well. I am crossing my fingers! She also said that most of the kids that aren't potty trained when they start the 3 year old class, are almost always fully trained by the end of the first month. They take them to the potty every 45 minutes. Parker will see his "friends" going on the potty, so hopefully he will want to go as well!

Well, that is my good news for the day. I hope all of you are doing well!

Love you all!

Landon is starting preschool, too! I decided to take him out of the home-care he was in. That wild child just needs more structure! His sitter is like going to Grandma's house (which I LOVE), but it's time for a more school-like environment now. I hope our little luvbugs like their new schools!
